1 〔声をあげて読む〕 read out [off]; read aloud; 〔名前を〕 call out 《the names》.

●表を読み上げる read out [call off] a list

・提案を読み上げる read up a proposed measure 《to the assembly》

・メッセージを読み上げる read out a message.

●大臣の演説はただ原稿を読み上げただけだった. For his speech the Minister merely read out his draft.

・追悼式では事故の犠牲者全員の名前が厳かに読み上げられた. At the memorial service the names of all the victims were read out in grave tones.
